The market for men’s fragrances and aftershaves has been growing year on year. For women, the perfume market is enormous and though it is a multi-billion dollar industry, it does have one great advantage, that of choice.

Where demand is lower or the market small, choice is inevitably smaller. Fortunately for men, the market is growing. With the increasing use of sports celebrities like David Beckham to market such products, the growth of the industry inevitably occurs. Using sporting celebrities has certainly been a successful marketing ploy by companies as they have huge followers. Various products such as men’s fragrances , aftershaves, razors and clothing have all been endorsed by these superstar personalities. The use of sporting personalities was probably pioneered or used to greater effect by the likes of Michael Jordan to market Nike trainers.

So what have these sporting stars done? The male grooming market is a huge one and one that has been untapped for a long time. It can only be a good thing for men around the world as they certainly lag behind women in terms of choice when it comes down to fashion and beauty/health products.
